1. 2001 SUMMER MEETING ABSTRACT DEADLINE - APRIL 6
The deadline to submit contributed and poster abstracts for the Summer Meeting in Rochester, NY is April 6. There is no longer a fee associated with submissions, and while only one contributed oral paper may be given per individual, there is no limit to the number of poster papers that may be submitted. 2. CORRECTION IN SHERATON HOTEL'S FAX NUMBER FOR SUMMER MEETING
The fax number on the hotel registration form in the Spring Announcer is incorrect. When faxing your registration to the Four Points by Sheraton, please use 716-546-1341.

3. 2002 WINTER MEETING SESSION & WORKSHOP REQUEST FORMS DEADLINE MAY 1
The deadline for submission of all Session and Workshop Request Forms for the 2002 Winter Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, is Tuesday, May 1. Please submit your proposals electronically through the web at: http:/oliver.aapt.org/aapt_forms/sessions.cfm or http:/oliver.aapt.org/aapt_forms/workshop.cfm.
Congress will be passing important legislation in the next few months that will determine funding for mathematics and science education. The American Institute of Physics sends out a periodic e-mail update (FYI) that provides information on important legislative issues, including mathematics and science education. You can subscribe to FYI by sending an e-mail to listserv@aip.org. Leave the subject line blank and the text of the message should read, add fyi. Alternatively, FYI and other science policy information is available online at http://www.aip.org/gov/

5. FULLER FUND MEMBERSHIP NOMINATIONS
The Harold Q & Charlotte Mae Fuller Fund was created to enhance the internationalization of AAPT membership and is intended to be beneficial to physics teachers in developing countries with non-convertible currencies.
Chosen individuals responding in a positive manner will have their full membership dues paid to receive the Physics Teacher (or the American Journal of Physics, if they prefer) for a period of two years.
