Re: Introductory Physics Class

Two articles recently came out on curricula which address this question.
The Physics Teacher in its most recent issue has an article on Workshop
Physicical Science, which has some similarity to Workshop Science at the
physics.dickinson.edu web site. The other article is in the Electronic
Journal of Science Education "An Innovative College Curriculum Model for
Teaching Physical Science to Pre-Service Elementary Teachers" located at
http://unr.edu/homepage/crowther/ejse/lillyetal.html .

I have been asked to teach a introductory college physics
class to propective elementary school teachers who have
never had a physics course before. This will in all
likelyhood be the only physics class they ever take.
Any suggestions to what topics should be "covered."
Thanks for the suggestions and help.
