Full-time Visiting Lecturer in Physics

The Department of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
invites applications for a Full-time Visiting Lecturer (FTVL) in Physics.
Applicants for the FTVL position must possess an advanced degree in Physics
or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with
advanced degrees beyond the Masters' level in Physics or related fields,
experience in teaching undergraduate physics courses, teaching and/or
redesigning upper-level physics laboratory courses. Also needed is a strong
interest and ability to teach introductory physics in either the traditional
lecture/recitation/lab mode or in an interactive environment.

FTVL appointment will be effective Spring 2001 semester and carry a full
teaching load of 12 teaching units, equivalent to 12 classroom contact hours
per week.

Interested candidates should send curriculum vita, recent publications,
teaching experience and philosophy, and the names, addresses and email
addresses of three references and have three letters of reference from these
