Thanks for all the inputs on this sighting. Leigh's reference seems right
on: what I saw is the Circumzenithal Arc - item i in Fig 121 of Minnaert's
book (described in paragraph 144) .
Jearl Walker's Circus of Physics book has the same figure and a bunch of
references.
Every once in a while look straight up - you may see one!
