A couple of friends and I are working on a project we're calling
SimUniverse. We are writing a computer program that simulates the universe
and allows the user to play around with physics laws to see what happens. I
am the only astrophysics major in the group, and I have had only one
astronomy course and no college physics yet! We have been stuck for a while
not knowing where to start, and finally decided to come up with a timeline
of the events in the universe so that we'd have a plan. Well, we couldn't
find a detailed enough timeline. We found several that couldn't help us
because they only stated what happened at a certain time in a line or two.
We need something that we can visualize to either simulate or point us in
the direction for something to do!
Any suggestions for resources to refer to or steps that might be good to
take would be greatly appreciated.
