Re: 2 source interference

Am I imagining things or are newer tv sets using phased stereo to
'position' sounds far from the set itself?

We recently got a new set (the Heathkit that my daughter put together
in the 80's finally gave up the ghost - any takers?) and even without
any remote speakers, some sounds are really spooky with what sure
seems like terrifically enhanced spacial separation. The first time I
heard a tv show phone ring 'off stage' was amazing!

Are there DSL chips and encoded info being used here or am I finally
realizing that I AM nuts?
