With additional help from Chuck I was finally lucky. An
attempt to recover a deliberately lost file at school failed.
But I came home, did the same things on my machine,
and voila, I am very happy.
With the "Text Sucking Leech" application I opened the
file which was truncated this morning (saved under the
same name after deleting the remaining ~90% of the text).
Without seeing any of my stuff I just saved the file under
a new name and opened it in Word. It came with a lot of
garbage but big pieces of my lost text were mixed with it.
In fact, it looks like most of it is there, but not always in
correct order and some pieces are repeated. I have to sort
it out now. This task will be much much easier than typing
everything from memory. Thanks a lot Chock, you are
hero today.
