Even some ADULTS remain convinced of such evil notions as the tidal
action being driven by the 'motion' of the moon and to a lesser
extent the sun.

However, some adults, including myself still belioeve that the tides are
caused
by motions of the sun and moon. They are called solar tides and lunar
tides.
In space everything is in relative motion. Although it is much simpler to

describe the sun and the moon as celestial objects that are relatively
still
with respect to the earths motions, there is nothing wrong by believing
that the earth is motionless and everything else in space is in motion.
