Re: Sig Figures

Ignorance is bliss?

Some of up 'poor souls' teaching HS really enjoy tweaking the tail of
the college/university types.

Some of poor benighted HS teachers find it convenient to teach in
terms of various Conservation of 'Stuff' laws. When 'stuff' is
conserved, it is a useful construct for some of us to think of the
'stuff' actually being 'transported'. While this might well not hold
rigorously true in QM and GR, I think it's good enough for a first
crack at it. (And we really DO need to give those underworked college
types SOMETHING to do ;-)

I got by with Mass Transport Equations, charge transport and even the
Poynting Vector for 'Energy' transport back when *I* was being so
poorly educated.

Funny, I don't feel like a recycled poor soul. Mabye I just don't know any
