Re: da/dt = jerk?



Thanks for the responses to my "jerk" question. I hadn't seen the
discussion when I searched the PHYS-L archives but I dumbly searched for
"Arons" instead of "jerk". Apologies to all. In any event, the recent
posts (and archives) seem to support what I thought was going on, i.e., it
isn't the jerk per se but the (delayed) response of the system to the
jerk.

P.S. I saw nothing in the archives that addressed the ball rolling down a
circular ramp (which then "bumps" when it meets the horizontal surface).
I'll assume the bump is due to the difference in rotation vs. translation
rates, unless anyone corrects me.
