I would suspect that the reason your Volvo seems to go so
far on a tank of gas when you are on a long drive
is that on a long drive you warm the car up properly and
therefore it operates at the correct temperature for
most of the trip. This does not happen when you go to work
or when you go down to the local mini-mart for a loaf of
