held with the non sticky sides facing each other, they should repell. Next,
have them stick one of the strips back onto the surface of the desk. Next the
other peice of tape is place exactly over the first tape strip. Rub as
before. When the tape is removed, the strips will attract each other.

I find that the students are fascinated with this activity. But I don't
use it
to replace the electroscopes - we do that as well.
