Re: Moon's synchronism



Some astronomy type people sometimes refer to the earth-moon system as
being one of two planets sharing the same orbit. This struck me as patently
rediculous UNTIL you calculate the 'curvature' of the moon's orbit.
Curvature of the orbit equates to the acceleration of the orbiting object.
The moon is ALWAYS accelerating toward the SUN with the acceleration toward
the EARTH being a smaller effect!!!!!!!
