OK, what is the cause of melting - and is it not true that at
sufficiently low temperatures the coefficient of friction is very
high?

11) The Earth's "N" pole resides in the northern hemisphere

13) Laser coherence is caused by atoms' in-phase emission
What's the "answer" here? And why does laser coherence very so much
from the solid state models to the HeNe tubes.

14) Sound travels much better through solids and liquids than through gas
What do you mean by better?

16) Reentering spacecraft are heated only by frictino
What are the other sources of heating?

Also, How does an AC induction motor work? The basic principle
seems clear enough (famous last words), but how do they get started?
and why do some AC motors have large capacitiors?
