With the millennium drawing to a close (on Dec. 31, 2000) and with
the annual interest in Time's selection of the 'Person of the Year',
another listgroup I'm on has started to discuss possible choices for the
'Person of the Millennium' - a person in the 2nd millennium who has had
the most significant influence or effect on the people of that 1000-year
period (a large number of whom, BTW, are probably still alive).
Initially no scientists were mentioned. Any recommendations... other
than the obvious ones?
