Uranus (was Re: pronunciation of Principia -Reply)

Isaac Asimov had an interesting solution to the "Uranus" question.  He
suggested pronouncing it Ur-AH-nus, with the accent on the second syllable,
for reasons I read in one of his essays but can't recall offhand.

I always thought that constituted an elegant solution, whether it was
justifiable historically or not. :)
