I had not heard anyone go off on the dangers of non-classical music since
the days of the cold war, and it was not from anyone in the states.
You are right: It was *not* a successful effort to try to eliminate it
"behind the iron curtain."
There is an adage: "You know you are getting old, when you start worrying
about the morality of the next generation."
