While calling a kc a C may seem an unfortunate choice to us, the people
in the food industry don't seem to interested in our opinion and will probably
continue to use C long after all of us are dead and burried. The only real
question for us to ask is do we care if our students know this bit of trivia
or not and is it worth the time it takes to tell them. Since I want my
students to take their physics outside the classroom and unit conversions are
a fact of life anyway I see no point in keeping the C a secret.
