What I did on my summer vacation

If anybody finds themselves in the vicinity of Augusta, Georgia in
the future, you need to follow the signs from the freeway (I-20) to
the Riverwalk. Aside from being a pretty cool park along the Savannah
river, there is a brand new $34 million dollar science museum, called
Fort Discovery, with pretty much the entire thing devoted to physical
sciences. Way cool exhibits such as a chaotic pendulum that you can
ride inside and (my favorite) a million volt Tesla coil (though
somebody needs to teach the tesla coil exhibitor what that really
means). Very nice people too -- there was some confusion over when
the last Tesla coil firing of the day would occur and we missed it
but after talking to the person in the gift shop, they ended up
letting us back in for free the next day to see it. Highly
recommended day trip.
