The points just raised about the radiation from capacitors newly
connected in parallel is quite interesting. I have been working on
the problem for a while. It makes a good graduate oral question. The way
I pose it as "Sketch the curve of the percentage of lost energy
radiated as a function of R". It is possible to draw a good sketch
of the curve and describe what is going on without solving the
problem in detail.
