A student from France is spending a week with relatives here. She
attends "Classes preparatories a CPE" and is preparing for a test in EM
wave propagation and Maxwell's equations. Her goal is to enter the
CPE-lyon. Can anyone give me a little background on such tests. With
the language difference, I'm not quite sure of the approach to take.

BTW -- from what I can see from her notes, the mathematical treatment is
at a MUCH higher level than anything our freshpersons get.
