The two voltage inputs share a common ground. They are not differential
inputs. Therefore, you must use 0-5V signals, with the lo side connected
to ground. You can buy differential voltage probes. It's just an
op-amp. But then you can look at voltages across things in series.

I am affraid to try because negative inputs of two probes can possibly
be connected to a common reference or ground inside ULI. Are two inputs
really independent? I have no electronic diagram of ULI.
