We have a new list subscriber whose mail software provides a GMT offset
header line which exceeds that specified in RFC 822. The effect on Eudora
Pro 3.0 is to crash, from which the only recovery is to remove manually the
offending message from your POP server.
I have asked that user to refrain from posting directly to phys-l until
February 1. If you use Eudora Pro 3.0, you should *immediately* download
and install the beta-8 version of 3.0.1, available from http://www.qualcomm.com. The stable version of 3.0.1 should be available
in about two weeks. If you delay until after February 1, you run the risk
of crashing when you try to download a message from this subscriber.
