Re: superposition



Examples where superposition fails: Einstein's geometric theory of
gravitation -- the gravitational field (i. e., spacetime curvature)
itself has mass-energy-momentum and hence "gravitates." (It would be
as if the EM field, i.e. photons, had electric charge, and so produced
more photons; the fact that this is not the case makes the EM field
subject to superposition). The color force, mediated by quarks, is
another example -- the quarks themselves carry color charge.
