Relativity

I was always bothered by Terrell's work by the fact that the human
eye does not have the time resolution to "see" the shape of an object
moving at relativistic speed. One would therefor have to photograph the
appearance, and that means there are TWO different methods of time resolution,
flash (in which all light is emitted from a source at the same time) and
shuttered (light is sampled simultaneously at the lens position).
Has anyone looked at these different conditions?
