bc does this to detect “dead” ones.

p.s. electrical “burns” are very slo in healing. I stuck my finger (I can’t believe it now.) into a Ruby LASER flash lamp P/S’s socket. —“forever" to heal, yet didn’t hurt much. [A colleague said, "We make equipment fool proof, but can’t idiot proof.”]
