(which isn't bad to read) produces



(at 20pt size set for display) in LaTeXiT on a Mac. (Assuming the .pdf survives going through the listserve.) You do also need the MacTeX distribution (which also provides LaTeXiT) all for free.

And it's clear that the .pdf doesn't survive! Therefore having the plain ASCII text for the equation is even more important!
