[Phys-l] Message with an attachment sent to Phys-L

Lately members of Phys-L have been sending messages with attachments and
later wondering why their messages post to the list seemingly empty.

The list is setup to strip all attachments from any message sent to Phys-L
before it goes out to the list members. Since all attachments are stripped
at the server level, the chance of a virus or internet worm being spread to
members of the list from Phys-L messages is nearly zero.

Therefore, if a poster wishes to forward a message to the list they received
elsewhere, they must copy the original message into the body of the new mail
being sent to the list.

Hope this helps with the recent confusion,
Mark
