The Spring 2004 Joint Symposium of the New York State Sections
of the American Association of Physics Teachers and the
American Physical Society will be held 16-17 April, 2004 at
SUNY- Buffalo State College Department of Physics. This year's
symposium will address the theme:
What Physics Education Research Says to Physicists and Physics Educators
Registration: students free; $15 advance for association members or
working teachers; $20 general public; $5 more at the door. Student
travel support and free parking available, refreshments served. Teacher
Professional Development letters and/or CEU credit available on
request. Maps, registration forms, abstracts, hotels, support details
etc on website.
Session I: Recruiting and Retaining Under-Represented Populations
(Friday pm)
Session II: Research on Learning Physics (Saturday am)
Session III: Applying Research in the Physics Classroom (Saturday pm)
