The discussion on whether or not introducing a new term "narge" would help alleviate some of the confusion regarding "electron current" vs "conventional current" did not address one of the important areas of confusion and a major reason that text books (and practitioners) continue to support the conventional current model. Certain circuit components (e.g. diodes and transistors) have their symbology tied to their operation according to conventional currents.
Introducing a "new charge" definition that is consistent with the flow of electrons in a solid will not change the operation of these devices nor will it help make sense of their symbols.
