Mea culpa, I confused the two words. Oblate (pompkin-like) deformation
of the rotating sphere is correct, not prolate (cigar-like). That what
was intended. But now that Brian corrected me I also recall that at a
sufficiently high value of the angular momentum the oblate shapes
become the most stable. Is this correct?
