RE: Fw: Help me with EXCEL

In Excel97 you can define a custom chart format. So, create a double-y plot
by hand, as it were, using these steps. Then, define a custom chart type
based on the plot. Thereafter, select the three columns of data, and make a
chart of your custom style. Pretty easy.

In Excel 5 and 7 I believe that you can still define custom chart types, so
a similar method should be possible.

For simplified plotting of data, remember the Workshop Physics tools. They
are a part of the Excel Tutorial available from Physics Academic Software,
or for free from the Dickinson web site at physics.dickinson.edu. Using the
tools, you can just select the data, hit one button, and have a chart. They
don't, however, do double-y plots. There will soon be an update so they
work with the current version of Excel; the new version should also work
with the upcoming Mac version of Excel due later this year.

Several people asked for the solution of the Excell problem. I was going to
ask Ric if I can post his message but he did himself. My Mac steps were:
1) Choose OPTIONS from the TOOLS menu
2) Then MODULE FORMAT
3) Then select the line for which the second scale is wanted. This brings
a dialogue box.
4) Select AXES in this box. Then click on SECOND AXIS

There must be an easier way, let us know if you find out. Ludwik Kowalski
