John, are the 60 degree points those called L4 and L5? It would seem to me
that the components of net gravity would tend to pull back/ahead to the
earth-sun line in either inertial or accelerated frames. Is there a readily
available reference you could point me to?

Just this afternoon in my computational physics course (the one I'm
learning C in) a grad student TA showed me a site with related stuff:

dly enough the exercise for today's class involved doing some
restricted three body simulation, something I've had quite a bit of
experience with before. Now if I can just get this C code to work,
and get the graphics to work from the Macintosh Toolbox, I'll have
a proof of the fallacy of the superannuated canine assertion.
