Re: [Phys-L] Two questions on General Relativity

Hello,

There is an article on the Equivalence Principle (EP) and GR in the July
issue of AJP. It answers my first question pretty well. The authors
conclude that EP "may serve as a tool for understanding which effects
caused by gravity of physical systems are of inertial nature." In other
words, EP is useful in a qualitative sense in some situations.


1) "Nowadays the Equivalence Principle has mainly historical meaning."
