[Phys-L] A Paradigm Change?



At http://arxiv.org/abs/2102.00454 , Dr. JudithAnn Hartman and Eric
Nelson have posted a preprint:

“A Paradigm Shift: The Implications of Working Memory Limits for
Physics and Chemistry Instruction”

The intent is to review cognitive research that may be helpful to
instructors in introductory physics courses for majors in the sciences
or engineering. Critical feedback is invited.
Would it be the evaluation of readers that the finding of working
memory limits suggest a change in how we guide students in
introductory classes to approach problem solving?
