I’ve been working on this simulation for a couple of weeks and thought I’d offer it for your consideration. It’s basic purpose is to track the build-up, suppression, and eventual maintenance of “cases” by adjusting the “reproduction number,” R in various mitigation scenarios. It graphs cumulative and current cases as a function of time and also calculates deaths, peak case load, and total time over hospital capacity as add-ons that don’t affect the basic simulation engine. It does NOT properly account for WHEN deaths occur.
I have found it useful in building intuition about how the parameters interact. YMMV.
