Re: [Phys-L] quantum measurement: observers, or not

Hi,

thank you for the elaborate answer from the point of view of QM! It is very
interesting to realize that QM originated from thermodynamics, and that
they play well together.

A competent Finnish physicist Kari Enqvist (
https://www.mv.helsinki.fi/home/enqvist/), who has written many excellent
popular books on physics, wrote that if a discussion on entanglement
thought experiments (like Schrödinger's cat) does not address the notion of
coherence, one can quite safely ignore it as outdated. However, it is
interesting that actual experiments are possible on old QM thought
experiments although there is much hype in their reporting.

Regards,

Antti
