[Phys-L] Civil defense expert sought for interview on nuclear warfare survival

I was approached by a local newsperson preparing an item on surviving a nuclear strike
and / or nuclear exchange for details of the physics, and referred him to a large body of
online resources and literature. We conducted a lengthy phone conversation
(he was pleased), but then I declined his offer to go on-camera posing as an
expert rather than a mildly-well-informed US-resident-alien. There’s just too
much important “trivia” for me to accurately recall without references handy.

He asked me to help him find an expert willing to go on camera or phone, and
I immediately went online to the county Civil Defense site where I’m not
seeing listed expertise on this topic. Hence I’m still trying to help him find someone.

So my question: Can you suggest a phone or Skype / TV interview ready
person with genuine expertise on the topic of nuclear civil defense who
would enjoy speaking to this reporter? He’s looking for someone who
will get the numerical facts correct in a first take, without an opportunity
to edit for factual correctness later.
