I would like to add an additional note:
Safety regulations in the 1940s are, shall we say, "somewhat different"
from what we would consider safe today. In addition to any access to
acceleration voltages and the like, the old insulation on the wires is
probably suspect.
I agree with the rest, make it a cool museum piece.
