Re: [Phys-L] gravitational wave signal detected

For most of the last 24 hours, the following article has been
at #1 on the list of "Most Popular" articles at theatlantic.com:
Sean Carroll
"All Physics Is Local"
http://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/02/all-physics-is-local/462480/

Some remarks:

1) I'm not surprised that Sean Carroll would write a nice
article extolling locality.

2) I'm impressed that The Atlantic would run it.

3) I'm impressed that readers would flock to it.

The term "Conceptual Physics" means different things to different
people. All too often, it becomes a euphemism for "bonehead physics".

For me, however, conceptual physics refers to profound, beautiful,
and useful concepts such as locality.

When people make a big to-do about locality, it makes me smile.
