Re: [Phys-L] Impacts

Young and Freedman, University Physics, 13th edition, pp 245 - 246, give
three examples:

Ball hits wall with 0.01s collision time (initial and final
velocities = -30m/s and 20m/s, respectively)

Ball hits tennis racket with 0.01 collision time (no
statement of initial and final velocities)

Boy kicks soccer ball with 0.01s collision time (initial and final
velocities = -20.0m/s and 30m/s, respectively)

Serway and Jewett, Physics for Scientists and Engineers, 9th edition, pp 255
- 256, give one example:

Car crashes into wall with collision time of 0.150s (initial
and final velocities = -15.0m/s and 2.60m/s, respectively)
