Re: [Phys-L] earth moon sun

So the Moon's orbit is always concave toward the Sun?

A related idea is this: Is it true that the Moon keeps
the Earth's tilt stable? And without the Moon, the
climate would be more erratic (besides the tidal effect)?
How would this affect the Earth's orbital precession?

I probably should have said "convexity toward the sun" ... or, better
yet, "concavity"!

The exaggeration DOES, however, make it appear that the moon's orbit
has periods of convexity which it does not.
