The Nobel Prize awards “those who during the preceding year have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind” as instructed in Alfred Nobel’s will. Alfred donated roughly 1,630 million dollars to be invested to fund the Nobel prizes and it is in Alfred Nobel’s will that we find the only criteria for winning a Nobel Prize that today is 10 million dollars.

Physics

The Nobel Prize for physics should be given to be given to, “the person who shall have made the most important discovery or invention within the field of physics”
