It's a way of combining permanent magnets to produce especially
uniform fields, or especially lopsided fields, et cetera.
Applications include motors, refrigerator door seals, and lots
more.

Is this a method of using a small Halbach array in a uniform field (large magnet w/ parallel pole pieces)? if so one may obtain a constant force over a not small volume. i.e. duplicate an e charge in a parallel plate cap.

bc, excited.
