I understand the derivation of Q for linear and constant dissipation in a SHO, but I'm stuck on the derivation for quadratic dissipation.
Can one (or more) of you direct me to a source?
bc thinks he's stuck on the evaluation of a definite integral, but it may be earlier, and has internet searched much.
