Re: [Phys-l] Bernoulli equation (redux)

Good thoughts! Congrats on the publication, and thank you for reminding us of what we should have thought of automatically.

Subject: [Phys-l] Bernoulli equation (redux)

In November, the list discussed a question that John Mallinckrodt brought up
about the Bernoulli equation not being Galilean invariant.
I followed that up into a short publication in the European Journal of Physics:

It seems to me that we quite often discuss interesting issues on PHYS-L. I
would like to encourage other members of the list to take items that strike
their fancy and write them up. That has at least 3 useful functions (in addition
to any personal satisfaction you may get from publishing):

1. It summarizes the whole issue compactly. (That's something we often
don't do on PHYS-L, instead tending to just drop a thread when we tire of it
or when it's more or less been exhausted. But a summary is important to
cement together the details of what you learned.)

2. It preserves it in a more accessible manner than searching PHYS-L archives
(useful though those archives certainly are).

3. It brings it to the attention of people who aren't on our list.
