That is *clearly* the intended scenario. You'll get no argument from me. Moreover, that scenario is simple and interesting and the answer is, for many, marvelously counterintuitive. All I (and many others) are saying is that the problem statement as it was presented in Marilyn's column did not specify the guidelines for the host's behavior. It just didn't. Surely you don't disagree with that?
