[Phys-l] Registration for PhysTEC annual conference now open



The Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC) 2012 Annual Conference will be held February 3 and 4 in Ontario California in conjunction with the AAPT winter meeting. The conference theme of New Paradigms in Physics Teacher Education will be addressed through workshops in topical strands on Teaching Methods, Learning Assistants, Recruitment & Retention, and Equity & Diversity, among others. Plenary speakers Phil DiStefano, Mary Kirchhoff, and Fred Goldberg will contribute their insights on the theme as well. Please note the registration deadline of January 16, 2012, and that registration fees are discounted for k-12 teachers, for members of PTEC, and faculty from chemistry departments that have endorsed the ACS statement on pre-service education.

Poster presentations related to teacher education in physics and related fields may also be submitted through the registration page.
