[Phys-l] On the myth that polar bear populations are flourishing

Are the claims that polar bears are in trouble due to climate change hype  
by the climate science community or is their reported well being more of  
the plant the seeds of doubt strategy of the corporate based climate  science 
denial industry?  Seems like this should be a simple question to  answer. 
Here is one article, is it credible? Who has the counter arguments and  
evidence.
