Agreed, but it could at least introduce an extra guilt factor. There are different cultures in on-ground schools. Some have an honor code that is generally respected by the students, and some operate more like high schools, where many students feel that if you can cheat for your grade, more power to you. Perhaps the face-to-face technology can foster more of the former.
